The purpose of the event was to discuss the problem of improving the professional training of specialists, modern training programs, innovative training methods and their compliance with the needs of the labor market – installers of photovoltaic systems. After all, the ability to solve problems and implement innovations are skills in demand by employers in all spheres of activity in the global world. The goals set in energy strategies (the European Green Deal, the Roadmap for the Energy Transition to 2050, the Sustainable Development Strategy of Ukraine to 2030) and the policies of the EU and Ukraine have led to significant changes in the labor market for installers of photovoltaic systems and RES systems in buildings .
The seminar was held in a mixed format, in which both stakeholders and representatives of vocational education institutions took part – about 25 people gathered in the auditorium of educational building #8 and 50 – joined the event online.
Mrs. Zhanna Talanova – deputy coordinator of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine, manager of analytical work and the National team of experts on reforming higher education (HERE team) addressed the participants with a welcome speech on the occasion of the event. The speaker focused her attention on the relevance of the Project in the educational space. in the study part. The priority directions of the Erasmus+ Programs with the support of the European Union are the strategies of “green” transformation in the field of energy, digital transformation – in education. Graduates of vocational and technical education will be expected on the labor market. Implementation of the Project will contribute to the improvement of training programs and practices for training specialists.
The project coordinator, associate professor Olena Shelimanova, briefly informed the attendees about the Project accompanied by presentation material. The main message of the report was the words of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen: “New technologies are only as good as the people who will be involved in their implementation.”
Oleksandr Trokhymets – managing partner of the attorney association “Trokhymets, Yaroshenko and Partners” told the audience interesting and useful information about the national legislation in the field of energy efficiency and RES in buildings. The speaker noted gaps in legal regulation in the renewable energy sector.
A lively discussion was sparked by the reports of Dmytro Galat – the head of the training center of PJSC Cherkasioblenergo and Andriy Semenchuk – the head of the training center of DTEK “Kyiv Electric Networks”, who shared their experience in the field of forming the personnel potential of companies.
The speakers noted that high-quality, innovative, unified training of future specialists both in the traditional energy sector and in the field of RES is a guarantee of the country’s energy independence.
The expert of the VET4GSEB Project, associate professor Svitlana Makarevych, reported on the formation of the results of the survey of stakeholders and VET providers regarding the state of the RES installations market in Ukraine. The results of the questionnaire and their discussion were the basis of the project decision of the seminar on improving training programs for target groups, experts-installers of photovoltaic stations and training trainers for advanced training.
At the end of the meeting, the moderator of the event, the Director of the National Research Institute of Energy and Energy, Professor Victor Kaplun, noted that energy efficiency is becoming a defining direction of the energy transition of Ukraine, which adheres to the strategy of the green transition to climate-neutral development of the EU, formulated in the “European Green Deal” program. At the same time, the shortage of skilled workers in the renewable energy sector has grown significantly in recent years, and technical skills in the field of “green transition” are in growing demand. The speaker emphasized the innovation and relevance of the VET4GSEB Project, the main objective of which is to provide national VET providers with tailored solutions, training materials, case studies, tools and recommendations that will allow them to update their practices and training programs to meet needs of the labor market.
Members of the Project consortium joined the round table online and expressed their pleasant impressions of the organization and content of the event and congratulated the team of NUBiP of Ukraine on the successful start of work.
