The round table in the frame of VET4GSEB project was organised by “Taniq” NGO on 17th May 2023. The event was attended by the representatives of Polytechnic University, Institute of Communication, Erasmus+ Center of Armenia, Solar system supply and installation companies, Environmental consulting NGO.
The event began with a welcoming speech by the Chairman of the Taniq NGO, Mr. Hrayr Melkonyan.
In the speech, he cited that one of the goals of the VE4GSEB project is the development of educational, methodological and informational materials, as well as the use of new integrated solutions for equipping buildings and structures with renewable energy devices that will contribute not only to energy supply, but also to energy conservation and environmental problems.
Then a member of the public organization “Taniq”, Candidate of Economic Sciences Gevorg Nalbandian spoke, who presented the legal framework for regulating the sphere of energy efficiency and energy conservation in Armenia.
He noted that the RA Law “On Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy” establishes the principles of state policy in the field of energy conservation and renewable energy.
It was noted that the application of this law provides for:
- State encouragement of the dissemination of energy-efficient technologies,
- Clarification of the position on the harmonization of regulation of part of the commitments undertaken under the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Expanded Partnership Agreement.
Then the participants of the round table began discussions, during which the lecturer of the Polytechnic University Suren Chibukhchyan presented the educational methods of installation and maintenance of the PV sphere approved in the educational system of Armenia.
An important matter of the round table was the presentation of the results of the survey conducted in Armenia. After discussing the results, the head of the Armenian office of Erasmus+ Lana Karlova invited the NGO Taniq to submit the report in the discussion organized by the Erasmus+ office and the Ministry of Education and Science on 31st May.
